Day 5: Treading A New Path

Today I was reminded by an old friend that people are temporary, they come into our lives when we need them and naturally they depart when their roles are complete. To this day, saying goodbye to people has always been extremely difficult for me. I never understood how individuals were capable of letting go of one another without feeling emotionally distraught almost immediatley. Growing up, those people, the ones who were able to let go so easily,  always held an admirable trait. They understood that life wasn't and still isn't about staying on one path and following it through to the end. They knew how important treading off course without knowing what lies ahead was. This is piece is an homage to them, the people who run and keep going, they are worth inviting into your life, even if it is only for a brief second.
