What began as a document validating the visible access to power that drag, as both performance art and an extension of identity, gifts individuals quickly evolved into a full retrospect of existing visibly queer. With portraits that showcase Bryan Clavel's drag persona, Miss.Leading, outside the nightclub, the series, "Diary of a Drag Queen," offers a new perspective on the life of a working Drag Performer. Juxtaposing the tokenizing that mainstream culture has done to the superficial layer of drag, the body of work endeavors to redefine drag as something that can exist outside of the expected unvarying glamour in the commercial world.
