About the Artist:
Bryan Clavel is a fine art and commercial beauty photographer. He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he took courses in women studies and photography at the College of Southern Nevada and graduated in the spring of 2018 with an Associate of Applied Science. When he is not freelancing as a makeup artist, you can find him shooting a conceptual self-portrait that deconstructs his identity and relationship to himself. Bryan's fine art work relays a self-discovering narrative which he describes as both a healing process and fundamentally necessary for him to produce. His work has been published in several magazines and displayed at the Cosmopolitan, Downtown Arts Center, College of Southern Nevada, and Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts. Furthermore, he has worked with artists such as Kimora Blac from the Emmy award-winning showing Ru Paul’s Drag Race and established beauty photographer Brandon Lundby who’s work can be seen in L’Oréal, Maybelline and Kylie Cosmetics beauty campaigns. All in all, Bryan strives to create emotionally igniting and conceptual imagery that allows the viewers mind to recite the stories he has illustrated. You can follow his photographic journey on both YouTube and Instagram.
